励志类谚语是谚语的一个重要分支,目前已成为许多翻译学者探究的内容。本文运用苏珊?巴斯奈特的文化翻译理论,选择包含文化因素的谚语,从文化对等的角度将原语中含有的文化因素转移到接受语中,并使译作对译语读者产生的效果与原文对原文读者产生的效果一样。研究结论是:当我们在对带有特定文化因素的表达进行翻译时,应跳出句子的表层结构,即词、短语、语法等层面,关注其文化内涵,从文化角度入手,考虑如何促进文化传播,加强文化交流。通过该研究,笔者希望使谚语走出国门,增强在国外的影响力。
Proverbs is an important branch of Chinese culture and now it becomes the subjects of investigation by many translators and scholars. This paper adopts Susan Bassnett’s cultural translation theory and also chooses some proverbs with cultural elements, and transforms the cultural elements of the original language into target language from the perspective of cultural equivalence, aiming to create an effect which is similar to that of original text to its readers. The main conclusion of this paper is: when we are translating some expressions with unique cultural elements, we should focus on its cultural annotations instead of on its grammatical structures, such as words, sentences and so on. We should consider the ways of cultural communication and cultural transmission. Through this paper, the writer wants to make proverbs go abroad and intensify its influence around the world.
