Study of nodal anatomy in some species of Lagerstroemia L. (Lythraceae)

The vascular organization of the node in six species of Lagerstroemia has been investigated. The leaves are generally opposite in all studied plants except few species with alternate pyllotaxy. The foliar nodes are unilacunar one traced noted in all species of Lagerstroemia arc shaped median trace is given out in certain plants.
