Sa？etak This case study describes Mon Perin Ltd. – unique tourism enterprise owned by the local community in Bale (Istria, Croatia). The origins, distinctive characteristics of the enterprise, its business performance as well as direct and indirect impact on local community are described in order to foster discussion and encourage reading and further research on possibilities of local communities to develop sustainable tourism by directly owning and managing tourism infrastructure
