SOCIAL NETWORKS AND EMPLOYMENT: ATTITUDES OF STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MOSTARKeywords: social networks, recruiting, selecting employee, student, University of Mostar Abstract: Sa?etak The paper presents results of an empirical research conducted among the students of the University of Mostar about possibilities and a necessity to use social networks in the employment process of new employees. Results show that still social networks are not fully recognized as a valuable tool in the process of recruiting and selecting employees, at least not from the students’ perspective as future job seekers. Just one part of students recognizes social networks as media that accelerates and reduces prices of process for recruiting and selecting candidates. Most of them perceive it in the context of promoting activities related to advertising of vacancies. Beside this, students are aware of a possible unreliability and inaccuracy of data available on social networks that may fool future employers. Today, social networks, whether private or business, become almost integral part of everyone’s life and information on potential candidates available on social networks should be observed, but they cannot be the most important nor the only criteria for employee choice due to their unreliabilit
