Use of Polish-bred maize hybrids for biogas production

Sa？etak The suitability for biogas production of silages from selected Polish-bred maize hybrids was investigated. Biogas and methane yield of silages was 513 – 703 and 339 – 443 Ndm3？kg-1 ODM. Hybrids were characterized by a high methane content in biogas (over 63%). Differences were found in biogas and methane production from different maize varieties.
