Abstract:

In the approach of the nursing care to individuals and their families, it appears that the beliefs, developed from social interactions, affect health(1). From this perspective, it is necessary to address the beliefs of both individuals, families and health professionals. Thus, in the book "Beliefs and Illness: A model for healing", the authors, Canadian Nurses Lorraine M. Wright and Janice Bell, present the model of beliefs and illness. The book offers to all people who seek to improve their practice with individuals and families, with a focus on the care of dialog, especially nursing, having in view that nurses are generally recognized as the most involved and promoters of this model of healing(2)
