Ferrocene Compounds. VIII. The Stobbe Condensations of Acylferrocenes with Diethyl Succinate

Sa？etak The Stobbe condensations of formyl-, acetyl-, and benzoylferrocene, resp., with diethyl succinate gave mixtures of (E)- and (Z)-stereoisomeric products, FcCR=C(C02Et)CH2C02H (R=H, Me, and Ph, resp.). These mixtures have been separated into pure compounds by chromatographic methods, and their structures have been assigned by spectroscopic means
