On Literary Works of Vlasta Sindik Pobor

Sa？etak The paper analyses basic themes and motives in the poetry of Vlasta Sindik Pobor. This poet contemporaneously wrote and published poems in standard literary language and the Chakavian dialect of the island of Vrbnik. The key differences between poetry in these two idioms are portrayed in this paper. It is shown how Vlasta Sindik Pobor, with her written word, tried to promote Chakavshtina of Vrbnik and contribute to preservation of the idiom not only through literary creativity, but also through translation of prose
