Abstract:

Sa?etak In his book Morals and Politics H?sle treats a phenomenology of power, in which he distinguishes two disciplines: cratology and politics. With cratology (from the Greek κρατο?) H?sle means a power which is only interested in itself and whose only goal is the self–implementation. Politics (from the Greek π?λι?) means on the contrary a power that endeavors for need and rights of citizens. While the power of cratology contains something tyrannical in itself, the power of politics seems rather a service for citizens. This service is anyway connected with the use of power and therefore with cratology. At the end of the book H?sle treats religion, that with its system of values can offer a coordination in the sphere of ethical policy and a contribution in the formation of a global ethic. From this area, two examples are presented: the Pact of the Catacombs and the ecclesiology of Gisbert Greshake
