Petrine office in catholic-orthodox relation. Can the Ravenna Document be the basis of theological compromise? Keywords: primacy, collegiality, synodality, Eucharistic ecclesiology, universal ecclesiology, Ravenna Document Abstract: Sa?etak The question of primacy of the Petrine office has always been topical and challenging for all, especially for ecumenical theologians, but very sensitive and controversial. Here the issue is approached only from the Catholic-Orthodox perspective with an emphasis on recent trends. The author starts from their common views on primacy, presenting them from the Catholic side as the Petrine and from the Orthodox side as the Johannian model of primacy, and, after their biblical foundation and ecclesiasticaldogmatic interpretation, attempts to highlight the possibility of their further and deeper rapprochement and permeation based on the guidelines of the Second Vatican Council and the so called Ravenna Document. The models presented have their specific theological emphases and different interpretations, but there is still a lot of space for deeper theological congruence as a prerequisite for a possible theological compromise on the issue of the Petrine primacy. The author hands over these thoughts to our public as an incentive to further seeking a common view on the important issue of Catholic-Orthodox rapprochement
