The Returned and the Departed. The living and the dead in the TV series The Leftovers and Les Revenants

Sa？etak This work is an attempt to analyze two different approaches to the relationship between the living and the dead in two famous television series: The Leftovers and Les Revenants. In general, in nowadays audiovisual products this theme reflects the need of modern society for understanding the connection between past and future. We also want to underline the role that religion, and Christianity in particular, plays in building the identity of man and of the whole society
