Fires in the tanks of liquid petroleum products

Sa？etak Tank oil fires are great challenge for firefighters. For them it is very important to know the type of tanks, fire properties of liquids stored in tanks, fire development scenarios and possible responses to certain scenarios. To do this, they need to be preventively prepared before the fire in order to make better and timely decisions in case of fire. This paper shows the types of tanks that are used for storage oil products, possible causes and scenarios of fires, which forms the basis for a broader understanding of these issues for the preparation of fire extinguishing operations
