Effects of addition of finely ground CRT glass on the properties of cement paste and mortar

Sa？etak The paper presents test results for the cement paste and mortars, where a part of cement was replaced with finely ground cathode ray tube (CRT) glass. The following mass percentages of cement were replaced with glass: 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 35%. Two mortar series, with 5 and 10% of CRT in the total quantity of cement, were prepared. It was established that the presence of glass does not greatly affect the setting time and dimensional stability of the paste. Mortars with 5 and 10% of CRT exhibited better mechanical properties compared to the reference mortar. All mortar series were found to be frost resistant
