Cough is one of the most common syndromes in the whole lung system with a high incidence. Clin-ical practice shows that TCM has great advantages in treating cough. According to his own clinical experience, professor Weizhen Shou summarized and put forward twelve methods to treat cough，respectively, “Wen”, “Qing”, “Xuan”, “Su”, “Run”, “Zao”, “Bu”, “Shu”, “Xie”, “Jian”, “Lian” and “Tong”, the purpose of this article is to expound professor Weizhen Shou’s twelve methods for treating cough.
