奥斯卡颁奖典礼致谢辞中男女语用差异
Gender Differences in the Academy Awards Acceptance Speeches

本文研究的是两性的语言差异在奥斯卡颁奖典礼获奖感言中的体现。这是一项基于语料库的研究，是由最佳男主角和最佳女主角的获奖感言分别组成的两个语料库作为研究数据，共125个演讲文本(男性64篇、女性61篇)，24,938个单词。通过定量与定性相结合的研究方法，采用语料库软件Wmatrix进行数据分析，在与同一参照物BNC Sampler Spoken相比较后分别生成两个关键字列表，比较得出男女演员在致谢演讲中用词与表达有何相似及区别之处。调查结果显示，男女演员发言中出现的高频词汇大多是相同的，且用法较一致，体现出了特定场合下该演讲题材的特点。但有少数不同，体现出不同性别的语言偏好与差异。
This project investigates the linguistic differences between men and women in the Academy Award acceptance speeches. It is a corpus-based study with two corpora, one of the leading actors’ ac-ceptance speeches and one of the leading actresses’. There are 125 speech transcripts (64 of men and 61 of women) with a total of 24,938 words. The data was analyzed with the corpus software Wmatrix. In this study, compared to the same reference corpus BNC Sampler Spoken in Wmatrix, two keyword lists were generated apparently. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches have been adopted to explore the characteristic patterns of keywords. Findings reveal that similarities and differences do exist in the male and female corpus.
