为探究怀化霸王鞭舞的发展现状，并提出发展有效的建议，通过实地调研分析得知：怀化霸王鞭舞习练者主力军为中老年女性，近年来表演的舞台增多，相比之前活动开展频繁，但实质上该项目传承后继无人，究其根本原因为表演形式守旧，缺乏现代审美。
In order to explore the status of Huaihua Bawangbian dance, and put forward effective suggestions for it, through field investigation and analysis that the main force of the whip dance in Huaihua is middle-aged and old women, and the number of stages for performances has increased in recent years and it’s more active than before, but in fact, there is no successor for this project, and the fundamental reason is the conservative performance form and the lack of modern aesthetics.
