Abstract:

The mutual orthogonality of components is inevitable in the three-dimensional structure of modern aircrafts and satellites. Taking the connection of the frame, stiffening rib and other ribs with the skin as an example, it can be simplified as L-shaped adhesive joints. This article analyzes to obtain the mapping relational model between the change in strain distribution and the evolution of adhesive damage in the adhesive area of straight carbon fiber–reinforced plastic plate for L-shaped carbon fiber–reinforced plastic adhesive joints based on the cohesive zone model in the ABAQUS software; determines the experimental layout of the distributed fiber Bragg grating sensors based on the simulation and analysis results; and embeds the fiber Bragg grating sensors into the straight carbon fiber–reinforced plastic adhesive parts, to demonstrate the mapping relational model between the change in strain distribution and the evolution of adhesive damage for carbon fiber–reinforced plastic adhesive parts obtained through previous simulation analysis by monitoring the cohesive zone damage of L-shaped adhesive joints. The maximum error between experimental results and simulation results does not exceed 8.5%. Finally, it monitors the cohesive zone damage of adhesive layer for L-shaped carbon fiber–reinforced plastic adhesive joints based on the fiber Bragg grating sensor from the perspective of the theory and experiment
