It can occur from thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) that may result in deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or life-threatening complications if left untreated. Sonography is the primary imaging modality used for suspicion of DVT. Other modalities may be used for difficult diagnoses such as PSS where the exact location of venous compromise is important to know for appropriate treatment.
