Hamlet and psychiatry intertwinedKeywords: Hamlet,Shakespeare, psychiatry, history Abstract: This article considers selected landmarks in the history of psychiatry and their impact on Hamlet productions, including Burton’s Anatomy of Melancholia, Emil Kraepelin’s manic-depression, Freud’s oedipal complex and R.D.
