The use of penile prostheses in the management of priapismAbstract: The definition of priapism is a full or partial erection that persists beyond or occurs unrelated to sexual stimulation. The traditional cut-off is four hours or more in duration (1). Priapism is relatively rare, with an incidence of 0.5–0.9 cases per 100,000 person years (1). These numbers are thought to be increasing related to the introduction of intercavernosal injections for erectile dysfunction (ED) (2)
