A NOVEL COMPENSATION METHOD FOR ACTIVE POWER FILTER IN 3-PHASE 4-WIRE SYSTEM

Instantaneous reactive power theory for threephase fourwire system is discussed and is used in an active power filter. The compensation principle and the structure of main circuit and control circuit are given. The basic operation principle of the active power filter is analyzed, which is different from that of active power filter used in threephase threewire system. The experiment results prove the effectiveness of the proposed control method and show the good compensation characteristics
