A NOVEL CLOSEDLOOP STARTUP CONTROL STRATEGY FOR HYDROELECTRIC GENERATING UNITS

In order to shorten the startup time of hydroelectric units, A new closedloop control strategy is designed with the units frequency always track the preset value. Many simulations have been done to prove the effectiveness of the new strategy. The results show that its performance is satisfactory and it can meet the demands of the parameter variations of the different hydroelectric units
