Phenotypic Variability of C1q Deficient Patients

Deficiencies involving the early components of the classical complement pathway such as C1q, C2 and C4 may lead to autoimmune disorders and susceptibility to infections. C1q deficiency is a rare primary immunodeficiency (PI). We present two patients with C1q deficiency who have widely differing phenotypes.
