Absence of IgE-Mediated Food Allergy Transmission in Solitary Kidney Transplant

IgE-mediated food allergy transmission after solid organ transplant from a donor with IgE-mediated food allergy to a recipient appears to be organ-specific. Such transmissions have been most commonly reported in liver transplants, but have also been found in lung, heart, pancreas, and small intestine. IgE-mediated food allergy transmission has not been reported in solitary kidney transplants.
