小胶质细胞在脑型疟研究中举步维艰

Abstract:
脑型疟发病机制研究仍存在很多“未解之谜”,该领域研究涉及感染免疫学、病理学,特别是神经科 学等多个相关学科的理论、技术和方法,具有明显的学科交叉性,对传统上分属于不同学科的脑型疟研究者而言 的确存在着许多挑战。近来的研究提示,脑实质小胶质细胞在包括脑型疟在内的诸多中枢神经系统疾病发生发展 中“扮演”着非常关键的角色,更重要的是,不同类型的中枢神经系统疾病研究所采用的小胶质细胞分子标记大 相径庭,这也显示出科学家们对脑实质小胶质细胞的特征及其功能的研究仍存在不少争议。如何准确抓住小胶质 细胞在脑型疟发生发展进程中的“身影”,增加相关研究结果的说服力和可信度,是脑型疟研究领域的关键科学 问题之一。本文根据现有小胶质细胞与脑型疟发病机制研究所取得的成果,深入剖析了小胶质细胞分子标记研究 中存在的主要问题,以期为今后小胶质细胞在脑型疟发病机制中的功能研究提供新的思路和依据。
There are still many “unsolved mysteries” about the pathogenesis of cerebral malaria. This field involves the theories, techniques and methods of infection immunity, pathology and especially neuroscience, which is obviously interdisciplinary. There are many challenges for the traditional researchers of cerebral malaria who belonged to different fields. Recent studies have suggested that the microglia in brain parenchyma plays a key role in the development and progression of many central nervous system (CNS) diseases, including cerebral malaria. More importantly, the molecular markers of microglia are widely different in the researches on the different types of CNS diseases. There is still much debate about the characteristics and functions of microglia. How to accurately grasp the “role” of microglia cells in the occurrence and development of cerebral malaria and increase the persuasion and credibility of relevant researches is one of the key scientific problems in the field of cerebral malaria. Based on the results of the existing researches on the pathogenesis of microglia cells and cerebral malaria, this paper analyzes the main problems in the study of molecular markers of microglia, so as to provide new ideas and basis for the future study on the function of microglia cells in the pathogenesis of cerebral malaria
