以“胸怀大局,无私奉献,弘扬传统,艰苦创业”为内核的“西迁精神”是新中国知识分子生命、意识、风骨、品格的集体写照,是全体知识分子的宝贵财富。“西迁精神”体现的为世忧乐的君子之志、义无反顾的君子担当和经世致用的实干精神是对传统士人精神的坚守与继承;形成的大局观和奋斗观是对汉唐丝路英雄精神的汲纳与发扬。“西迁精神”的形成不是一蹴而就的,是当代知识分子群体在爱国奋斗过程中形成的精神范式和行为典范,不仅具有深刻的历史意义和广泛的社会意义,而且具有强大的现实价值。
The remarkable and profound Jiaotong University Relocation Spirit was a collective portrayal of the life, consciousness, character and dignity of intellectuals who were living in New China Period. Also, it is the precious wealth for all intellectuals in contemporary time. “Jiaotong University Relocation Spirit” is an adherence to and an inheritance of the spirit of traditional intellectuals; and it is an absorption of and a development of the silk road heroic spirit in the Han and Tang dynasties. “Jiaotong University Relocation Spirit” has not been achieved in one move. Instead, it has been a spiritual model and behavior model formed by the contemporary intellectuals in the process of their devotion to the country and profession, which has far-reaching historical significance and contemporary value
