A Meta‐Analysis of Herbivore Effects on Plant Attractiveness to PollinatorsDOI: https://doi.org/10.1002/bes2.1556 Abstract: We performed a meta‐analysis to assess the overall effects of herbivory on pollinator attraction to plants. In addition, we also looked at herbivore effects on floral traits to explain changes in pollinator attraction, as well as on plant reproductive success measures to address the implications of herbivore–pollinator interactions for plant fitness. We found an overall significant negative effect of herbivores on floral traits, plant attractiveness to pollinators, and plant reproductive success. Nonetheless, herbivore effects were noticeably contingent on the plant tissue attacked.
