Demonstration of spinal cord schistosomiasis pre- and post-treatment. a Pre-praziquantel treatment. Sagittal T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging revealed a circumferential and uniformly enlarged caudal spinal cord, including the thoracolumbar spine, in addition to a hyperintense signal intensity relative to the normal appearance of the cranial part of the spinal cord. b Post-praziquantel treatment.
