Abstract:

Example of Classical LBBB contraction pattern. The features of a Classical LBBB contraction pattern are the following: 1) Peak shortening of the mid- and/or basal septum (light and dark red lines) within the initial 70% of the ejection phase (red arrow), 2) Initial stretch (blue arrow) of the mid- and/or basal lateral wall (light and dark green lines), and 3) late peak shortening after aortic valve closure (AVC - dotted line) of the mid- and/or basal lateral wall (yellow arrow). The apical segments are usually disregarded, when assessing the Classical LBBB contraction pattern, and therefore they have been omitted from this figure.
