Evaluation of the Use of Phosphatidic Acid in the Diet on Growth Performance and Breast Meat Yield in BroilersDOI: 10.3390/ani8060087 Keywords: broiler, phosphatidic acid, growth, yield Abstract: Improving feed conversion while increasing growth is a goal of any broiler nutrition program. The use of feed additives to obtain this goal has increased in recent years. However, increased growth in broilers has resulted in meat quality issues such as woody breast and white striping. In humans, utilizing phosphatidic acid (PA) in the diet has demonstrated increased lean muscle formation. If PA could be used in poultry, it may allow for increased growth without the pitfalls of poor meat quality
