Adipose stem cells

With levels of chronic obesity-related illnesses on the rise throughout most of the developed world, adipose tissue has been brought into focus in the research community. This newfound attention has made it clear that fat is not just a simple unit of energy storage, but is an important part of the endocrine system and metabolic regulation as a whole. Further studies into adipose-derived stem cells have revealed a veritable treasure trove of potential in numerous applications due to their differentiation capabilities and abundant nature.
