Analysis of circulating soluble programmed death 1 (PD-1), neuropilin 1 (NRP-1) and human leukocyte antigen-G (HLA-G) in psoriatic patientsKeywords: psoriasis, immune tolerance, programmed death 1, neuropilin 1, human leukocyte antigen-G Abstract: Circulating soluble programmed death 1 (PD-1), neuropilin 1 (NRP-1) and human leukocyte antigen-G (HLA-G) take part in modulating immune tolerance causing disturbances in the molecular mechanisms responsible for maintenance of balance between effector and regulatory components of the immune system. Since their cell-surface expression levels were found to be changed in lesional and/or non-lesional skin of psoriatic patients, analysis of soluble PD-1, NRP-1 and HLA-G concentrations sheds more light on their role in detecting unbalanced immune tolerance in psoriasis
