Velichko Aleksiev Popov. A Short Review of (Auto) Biografical InformationAbstract: The paper discusses the biography of the author Velichko Aleksiev Popov who is almost unknown in Bulgarian literature. Bulgarian and foreign scholars (including Ivan Radev, Elena Syupyur, Veselin Kandimirov, Mihail Dimitrov, etc) devoted short essays on his personality and creativity. As an author, Velichko Alexiev Popov is not known. His name was associated with the name of Botev, although the poet Velichko Popov – the author of the poem “A happy meeting. Contemporary forest-exilic poem” – deserves his place in the Bulgarian literature. He is interesting not only as a poet, not only as the author of “A happy meeting. Contemporary forest-exilic poem”, but he is interesting as a person. The biography of the poet is not well studied, but it deserves the attention of researchers because a thorough study on the life and work would be useful and would explain the relationship interesting connections between texts from the period of the Bulgarian Revival. Such as between the texts of Popov and of Rakovski, on the one hand, and the texts of Popov and of Botev, on the other hand
