The Monumental Characteristics in the Sculptural Sketches of Lyubomir Dalchev from the Period 1963–1979

The problem of the presence of monumental sculpture in public spaces is particularly relevant today. One of the main aspects of this issue is related not only to the theme and the plot, but also to the shape of the work of art. The aim of the study is to analyze the morphological quests of the figural sculpture of Lyubomir Dalchev, as well as their cause. The problem of the study is to trace and analyze the connection between the accumulation of experience from the design of monuments and the creation of a personal plastic expression through the projection of the monumental sculpture problems on the author’s 1963–1979 cavalry works.
