Background: Insulin resistance leads to impaired glucose tolerance, dyslipidemia, and other adverse cardiovascular effects.Increased insulin resistance will lead to hyperinsulinemia which is a characteristic feature of obesity, hypertension and type 2 Diabetes mellitus. Aims: The present study was designed to investigate insulin secretory response and glucose abnormalities after oral glucose load in obese subjects.
