GAZ？ANTEP’TE MERKEZ ATIKSU ARITMA TES？S？NDE ü？ YILLIK R？SK DE？ERLEND？RMES？ ANAL？Z？/ Three-Year Analysis of Risk Assessment in Wastewater Treatment Plant in Gaziantep

It is required to make a risk anaylsis in the workplace in terms of legislations. Furthermore, it is also important for the future of the country. This study aims to compare the results of three-year risk assessment analyses in a wastewater treatment plan. This descriptive study was conducted in a wastewater treatment plant located in the center of the Gaziantep province. The study was performed by an occupational health and safety expert in 2012, 2013, and 2014. All samples were included in the study. " L Type Matrix Analysis Method " was used for the risk assessment. According to the 2012 worker health and occupational safety risk assessment analysis conducted in the wastewater plant in Gaziantep, high risk was detected for the fire, chemicals, first aid, periodic measurements, electrical installations, and grounding. Furthermore, moderate risk was detected for signs, training, hygiene rules, and warning-signs. Low risk was detected for the workplace physical disabilities and other hazards. Conditions which led to these risks in 2012 were corrected starting from 2013. In 2014, a decanter was located near the sludge drying building and required precautions were taken. Results of this study can contribute to the public health field because of the evaluations of risk assessment analyses over the years.
