认知语言学视角下《红楼梦》史华慈译本谚语翻译策略分析——以前八十回为例 An Analysis of Proverb Translation Strategies in Schwarz’s Translation of A Dream of Red Mansions from the Perspective of Cognitive Linguistics—First Eighty Chapters as the Corpus
《红楼梦》是中国文学璀璨的瑰宝，其内容博大精深，其语言更是学者们孜孜不倦研究的课题。史华慈译本自2007年问世以来，对其进行研究的文章开始陆续出现，但相比其他译本的谚语翻译研究来说，在这方面对该译本的研究可以说仍尚处空白。该文以王寅教授根据认知语言学的核心原则“现实–认知–语言”提出的认知翻译观为基本思路，试着分析了《红楼梦》史华慈译本前八十回的谚语德译所采用的翻译策略。通过分析得知，《红楼梦》史华慈译本前八十回的谚语德译大部分采用语言层次的直译，一小部分采用认知层次翻译，罕有现实层次的翻译。
A Dream of Red Mansions is a splendid treasure of Chinese literature. Its content is extensive and profound, and its language is the subject of tireless research for research scholars. Since Schwartz’s translation came out in 2007, research articles have appeared one after another, but compared with other translations of proverb translation studies, the research on this translation can still be said to be blank. The core principle of cognitive linguistics is “reality-cognition-language”, based on this principle, Professor Wang Yin puts forward the basic idea of cognitive translation view. This article tries to use this idea to analyze proverb translation and discuss Schwarz’s Translation strategies. Through analysis, it is known that most of the proverbs of first eighty chapters in this version are literally translated at the language level, and a small part are translated at the cognitive level, rare at realistic level.
