Abstract:

公开演讲在国家对外交流中起着很大的作用，而联合国大会作为一项世界级国家交流会议，受到的关注度很高，其影响也越来越广泛。为了更好地理解演讲中发言者所表达的人际意义，本研究选取的是彭丽媛2018年9月在纽约联合国大会上针对防治结核病问题的英语讲话为语料。采用定量与定性两种分析方法，研究评价资源中的态度系统在这篇演讲中的分布特点及其表现形式，并进一步探讨它们是如何实现人际意义的。研究结果发现在这篇演讲中，彭丽媛使用了较多的态度资源，其中判断资源最多，鉴赏资源最少，而情感资源居中。这三种资源的综合使用塑造了彭丽媛良好的形象，更好的传达了彭丽媛对抗结核病的信心，同时也引起了听众的关注。
Public speech plays an important role in the country’s foreign exchange. The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as a world-class country discussion has received high levels of attention. Its influence is also more and more widespread. In order to have a better understanding of the speaker’s interpersonal meaning in a speech, this study selected Peng’s speech as data, which was addressed on the topic of preventing tuberculosis (TB) in UNGA in New York. Both quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis were adopted to investigate the distribution of attitude resources from the perspective of appraisal theory and how the speaker’s interpersonal meanings were shown. This study found that there had a lot of attitude resources in this speech, in which the judgment resources were the most, the appreciation resources were the least and the emotional resources were in the middle. These three resources were used together to create a good image, thus better conveying Peng’s confidence in fighting against TB and arousing people’s attention.
