Media and Migrant Workers in Social Reconstruction: Review onSeeing and Being Seen VS Gaze and Power

摘要 李红艳教授的著作《观看与被看凝视与权力:改革开放以来媒介与农民工关系研究》凭借丰富的个案研究围绕媒介自改革开放以来的变迁与农民工的流动的关系、过去30余年中农民工与媒介之间的关系的发展轨迹、这种发展轨迹在何种程度上和以什么样的方式被呈现出来等问题展开了深入的探讨。本文通过对“第三代农民工”概念的探讨肯定了李红艳教授对该概念在既往研究基础上进行拓展与厘定的意义。
Pr. Li Hongyan’s work, Seeing and Being Seen VS. Gaze and Power, carries out in-depth discussion relying on abundant individual cases since the Reform and Opening-up, to study the changes of media and its relationship with the migrant workers, the developing locus of the relation between the media and peasant-workers in the past 3 decades, and how and to what extent this development locus was presented. Through the discussion of the concept of “The third generation of migrant workers”, this article affirms the significance of Professor Li Hongyan’s expansion and integration on the basis of previous researches
