Contributions of Academic Translation to the Development of Media Ecology Studies in China: An Interview with Professor He Daokuan

摘要 本文通过访谈方式，对比原著和译著的被引率，追溯何道宽翻译的学科渊源、翻译过程和译作选题，以求揭示何译对中国新闻传播学发展的贡献，同时探讨何译特点以及译有所为与中国新闻传播学发展及其对外语专业学科建设的启示。
This paper, through email interviews, zooms in on the translation works by He Daokuan, aiming to reveal the contributions of He’s translations to the development of communication studies, noticeably to that of media ecology, in China. Explorations are made of the relationship between his original major field and communication studies, his translation process and his research shifts based on his translation works. With the citation ratio of his translations and that of their original English works compared and analyzed, he’s contributions are clarifed, and broader implications are suggested for the reconstruction of foreign language discipline in China
