英式自然风景园是世界园林重要的组成部分，它意味着庭院回归自然，在庭院中营造出大自然的天然景观，英式自然风景园的成形历经数个阶段，对植物的运用更是别具一格。归纳了英式自然风景园的发展历程、形成原因，介绍了构成英式自然风景园的铺装、景观小品、地形和水体的景观特点，并从植物的孤植与群植、植物专类园、花坛和花境4方面分析了英式自然风景园的植物运用特点及其成功经验，以期对我国园林的发展起到一定借鉴作用。
The English landscape garden is an important part of the world garden, it stresses that the garden should return to or close to the nature and the natural landscape should be built in the courtyard. The English landscape garden has been developed through several stages, and whose plant application has been specifically characterized. This paper mainly concluded that the development course and forming reason of English landscape garden, introduced the landscape characteristics of the components of English landscape garden, such as mat formation, sketch, terrain and water body, analyzed the application and experience of the English plant landscape from the aspects of isolated planting, mass-planting, the botanical garden, flower bed and flower border, in order to provide reference for Chinese modern landscape design
