SWOT Analysis on Internationalization of Chinese Higher Engineering Education and its Strategic Path Selection

我国高等工程教育国际化还处于发展探索阶段，选择符 合我国国家利益、适合现阶段国情的工程教育国际化战略将 有助于我国从工程教育大国向工程教育强国转变。从我国国家 战略、工程教育国内外环境以及工程教育国际化目标等方面考 虑，我国高等工程教育国际化的路径是：结合工程教育国际认 证，合理定位工程教育国际化目标；利用工程建设中国经验，依 托我国研究型大学打造工程教育国际化高地；借鉴国外先进工 程教育经验，积极创新全面改善工程教育国际化环境；配合我 国产业“走出去”战略，制定工程教育国际化人才培养计划。
The Internationalization of higher engineering education in China is still in the exploratory stage. Selecting the right strategy of higher engineering education internationalization in line with national interests and national current condition will be helpful for China to transform from giant engineering education nation to powerful one. On the basis of national strategies，domestic and international engineering education environments, and engineering education internationalization goals, this paper suggests several strategic paths for higher engineering education internationalization, including rational orientation of internationalization target, building world class engineering education centers on the light of Chinese engineering practical experiences, improving the environment of engineering education internationalization by borrowing foreign advanced experiences, and designing engineering education curriculum to provide engineers with global competences.
