美国大学内部治理考察报告

Abstract:
学术传承和文化传统决定着一个国家大学的办学理 念、管理体制及模式,中美两国大学的文化传统、面临的主要 矛盾各不相同,其办学理念和内部治理体系各有所长、治理模 式互有优劣。善于“借鉴”才能“超越”;敢于“创新”才能“领 先”。中国大学在借鉴美国大学内部治理经验时不能简单模仿 或移植,而应当坚持“追赶”与“超越”战略并举,扎根中国大 地办学,努力走出一条高水平大学建设的“中国道路” 。
Academic inheritance and cultural traditions determines the running principle, management system and mode of a university. There are many differences in cultural traditions and main contradictions between Chinese and American universities. Each of them has their own advantages and disadvantages in universities’ running principle, internal management system and governance model. Only if a person is good at drawing experience can he surpasses others, and only if a person dares to innovate can he be in the lead. When learning from the internal governance experience of American university, Chinese university should not imitate or transplant it simply. Conversely, Chinese university should adhere to catching up and surpassing strategy simultaneously, and take its root in our own country and try out a Chinese road of high level university construction.
