Abstract:

研究型大学的一个非常重要的目标是提升学生的科研 创新能力和写作能力。从中、美、英等国本科学年论文、学 术论文体制的对比以及国内学界对于本科学年论文的定位来 看,将研究型大学中过去局限于高年级本科学生实施的学年 论文制向大一、大二学生延伸,并与本科生导师制相结合, 是研究型大学本科生创新培养的一项重要举措。在学年论文 的考核、评价方面,学校(院)不能局限于对学生的终端考 核,而应强化过程考核,跟踪其论文的选题、材料搜集、研 究现状调查、论据整理和论文撰写、修改完善的全过程。在 学年论文制与本科生导师制的结合和互动方面,岳麓书院四 位一体的多元化本科生导师体系,不失为一种有效的尝试。 岳麓书院本科生学业导师和班导师,全面参与学生学年论文 写作的前期指导、中期监督,并为其终端审核和评价提供可 靠依据,不仅从“防患于未然”的角度遏止了学术不端行 为,而且为提升本科生培养质量提供了根本保障。
In the process of research-oriented university education, a very significant purpose is to improve students’ ability of academic innovation and writing skills. After comparing the academic writing training systems for undergraduates in the US, the UK and China and discussing various definitions of the undergraduate academic-yearpapers in China, this paper puts forward that a full range of academic-year-papers system, which covers the freshman year, sophomore year and senior years, should be constructed according to their different stage characteristics in the research-oriented universities. The paper also suggests that this system should be combined with the undergraduate tutorial system. For the assessment and evaluation of academic-year-papers universities or schools should not just focus on the terminal assessment and final results, but should pay more attention to the entire process including topic selection, data collection, the survey of prior researches, organization of arguments and the whole procedure of writing, revising and refining the academic-year-papers. For the combination and interaction between academicyear- papers system and the tutorial system for undergraduates, the four-in-one tutorial system in Yuelu Academy is a good practice. The academy uses academic tutors and class mentors as a feasible human resource for the preliminary guidance, mid-term supervision and final assessment of academic-year-papers, which not only prevents academic misconducts, but also guarantees the education quality of undergraduates.
