The Aim of Academy Education and Its Relation with Neo-Confucianism in Southern Song Dynasty

南宋时期，理学和书院呈现一体化发展趋势。理学家倡导复兴儒学、以儒家明体达用、内圣外王作为书院教育宗旨，推动了南宋书院的发展，为书院成为相对独立的教育体系奠定了思想基础。
The expanding of academies in Confucians' classical learning was tightly combined with the flourishing of Neo-Confucianism. With the aim of reviving the Classical Confucianism, advocating pragmatic education objectives, internal saints and external kings, Neo-Confucians promoted the academy culture in Southern Song Dynasty (BCE. 1127-1279) and founded the unofficial ideological basis for the academy as one independent education system.
