汤一介先生儒学观散论
A Brief Comment on Tang Yijie's Confucian Views

汤一介先生是一位具备人类情怀与使命担当的现代知识分子，希望通过自己的儒学研究为解决人类的前途与发展当遭遇的问题提供启迪；汤先生关于儒学的现代价值——为今日的人类健康、合理的发展提供必不可少的精神资源——的论述是系统而深刻的，其对我们最重要的启迪有三点：1）儒学的现代化，只能从诠释儒学之现代价值来论，不能从儒学开出现代科学民主来论；2）儒学的现代化，只能从“内圣”来论，而不能从“外王”来论；3）以冯契的统一理论、方法、德性的“智慧”说作为马克思主义中国化的成功范例。这三点，深刻地反映了汤先生的非现代新儒家的立场，说明他是站在同情与欣赏儒学的立场来研究与提倡儒学。
Mr. Tang Yijie is not a bookish scholar, but a Confucian researcher with a sense of mission to seek better ways for human future. Tang's comments on Confucian modern value are systematic and deepgoing, which could serve as the essential spiritual resource for contemporary human development and wellbeing. There are three significant points: 1) Modernized Confucianism should be based on interpretation of Confucian modern value, rather than science & democracy issue. 2) Modernized Confucianism should be based on the concept of "internal sage", rather than "external king". 3) To view Mr. Fengqi's "wisdom theory" as a model of Chinese localized Marxism. These points show Tang's non Neo Confucianism view. Mr. Tang's study went with a strong sympathy for Confucianism.
