中国的传统节日有着完整的节日仪式。但在当代，由于历史、社会等诸多原因，节日中的仪式变得越来越简化，有的甚至遗失。而仪式的缺失是一种精神和传统的缺失，是一种生活方式的缺失。恢复并重建节日的仪式需要从完整性、创新、媒介和国家传播这几个方面进行。对仪式的重建就是对公共生活的重建。保护好仪式就是保护好传统节日。
