儒家教化本质及当代价值
The Essence and Contemporary Value of the Confucian Education

儒家由孔子创立，经由后儒传承并发扬光大，而成为中国传统社会主流文化与核心价值体系，其核心观念是“仁”，核心功能为教化。儒家教化是以“人”为逻辑起点，通过礼乐制度及社会文化环境对人的文化化，化性起伪，最终使人人向善，止于至善；当代社会应传承儒学及其人文精神，肯定人的尊严，价值，倡导教化、敬畏生命、尊重人格并重视典礼仪式对人教化作用，同时，为政者及社会各精英阶层应起率先垂范作用。
Confucianism was founded by Confucius, after being carried forward by its adherents, Confucianism became the mainstream of Chinese traditional culture and the core value system. Its core concept is “benevolence”, the core function is edification. The Confucian edification is taking “people” as the logical starting point, through the approach of civilizing people by the system of rites and music, the social and cultural environment, using the rite and law to guide the human nature to be kind and eventually reach the summum bonum. Contemporary society should inherit Confucianism and its humanistic spirit, affirm the value, dignity of people, promote education, respect for life, respect for personality, and pay attention to the role of ceremony in educating people. Confucian should take a leading role in educating politicians and social elites.
