清末中美关系与美国华人问题侧观 ――基于崔国因《出使美日秘日记》之浅读
A Side View on the Sino-US Relations and the Problems about Chinese People in America during the Late Qing Dynasty ―Based on the Ambassadorial Mission Diary to the US，Spain and Peru by Cui Guoyin

撷取清末驻美、日、秘国公使崔国因在其出使日记中大量第一手资料，审视当时中美交涉之基本格局及主要矛盾，分析早期在美华人生存状况，揭示华人问题对中美关系之严重影响；对崔国因运用外交手段，斡旋多边关系、保护华人利益、维护国家主权所做的努力予以肯定，并就其有关清朝外交政策、在美华人之国籍问题、欧美各国与中国之关系等重大问题上的评述、议论、建议等加以综合分析，希望从中得出有益的历史借鉴。
Based on the origianal ambassadorial mission diary to the US, Spain and Peru by Cui Guoyin during the Late Qing Dynasty, the article examines the fundamental diplomatic pattern and main contradictions between China and the US, analyses the survival situation of the Chinese people in the US, and reveals the serious influence over the Sino-US relations. The author affirms Cui Guoyin′s contributions in settling the bilateral or multilateral relations, protecting the benefits of overseas Chinese, and safeguard national sovereignty through diplomatic ways. This research reveals the major issues of the Qing government, such as the foreign policy, Chinese nationality problems in the US, the foreign relations of China, some comments and suggestions are provided as historical references for present society
