现代大学使命与思想交大建设 ――学习习近平总书记在哲学社会科学工作座谈会上的讲话
The Mission of Modern University and Construction of Ideological Jiaotong University ―Learning the Speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the Symposium on Philosophy and Social Science

从大学的起源、演进及社会需求角度概括了大学使命的基本内容，并以此为视角回顾了交通大学发展历程中的使命担当并落脚于思想交大工程，对思想交大建设的路径依托与精神元点做出了探讨；认为西安交通大学应当聚焦中国问题进行知识体系重构，进行跨越学科、跨越方法论的范式创新，从人类文明的高度建构交大学派；同时，应当以公共价值作为根本诉求，不断传承交大文化基因中的科学精神与人文情怀，发扬爱国主义、集体主义、英雄主义与乐观主义，让西安交大成为时代发展的价值高地、信仰高地。
This paper explores the contents of university′s mission, including the origin and evolution of university, as well as social demands. On the basic of this perspective, by reviewing the mission in the history of Jiaotong University′s development and the ideological Jiaotong University program, this paper discusses the path and mental element which are under the construction of ideological Jiaotong University. Suggestions are made that Xi′an Jiaotong University should focuse on Chinese problems so as to reconstruct its knowledge system, to innovate the paradigm across different disciplines and methodology, and to structure Jiaotong University school from the high degree of human civilization. At the same time, Xi′an Jiaotong University should regard public value as its fundamental demands, keep inheriting the scientific spirit and humanistic feelings which buried in Jiaotong University′s culture gene , and carry forward patriotism, collectivism,heroism and optimism, aiming to become the highlands of value and belief in the development of the times
